James Erskine is Club Professional at Dumfries & County Golf Club,Player, teacher, club fitter, retailer and trainer of future Professionals are some of his job titles but the greatest satisfaction comes from interacting with the members and guests in a Golf Club environment. James creates a warm and friendly atmosphere in the Pro Shop making both members and visitors feel very welcome.
As a coach he has had some notable success coaching a variety of abilities from beginners to International players. In 2017 he coached the African & Scottish Amateur Champion. His philosophy is simple in that every player can improve under the correct guidance. The Introduction of our Indoor Trackman studio further enhances our members experience , James is always striving to-further develop all aspects at the Club.
The Pro-shop is fully stocked with all golfing essentials from the major brands at the best prices. His custom fitting service is unrivalled locally. James & his staff will ensure you have the correct product to improve your game. On occasions this may mean not making a sale. The free aftersales service reiterates his philosophy & aftercare service associated with buying from our club pro. Rory Brunton - PGA Assistant
Rory like Jordan has also won the club championship at the Club in 2016. Rory is in charge of all repairs and club fitting. Rory is Trackman certified. He has a good knowledge of new product and has a great ability to fit the correct product to help your game. ROry assists Jordan with Junior and beginner coaching.
Mitchell Cowie - Shop Assistant
Mitchell is out Junior captain and a scratch golfer. Mitchell is also Trackman certified for Club fitting and enjoys designing specific practice plans utilising Trackman. Mitchell coordinates our winter league & carries out day to day duties in the Proshop
